In the style of the mid-20th century, Zoological Park of Centenario ( Parque Zoologico del Centenario) offers a fun and educational pastime both for kids and their parents. Walk around the large park and see all kinds of animals, some of them endangered in the wild, including the rare white tiger. Go early if you want to avoid crowds and high temperatures. You don’t have to pay for tickets, only for the train ride across the park, during which you can get close to the fences and take a closer look of the animals. The park has a shaded kids’ playground for the youngest members of the family. You can also grab some food and drink onsite. • If you go to Zocalo West for about 30 minutes, you will reach a park with a substantial area. There is a zoo in the back. The entrance to the front of the use of the park tram for children. The park here was free admission, and each facility needed an admission ticket. The entrance to the park was only one place, so I couldn't predict the time, so I didn't enter. The place with the map mark is a hospital with Hideyo Noguchi statue, and the zoo is a little below.

  • Is a nice place in the city to spend a couple hours, is very Close to downtown. It is not a "first world" zoo but it has many animals that you cannot imagine. It is free and you can buy in there a lot of snacks like popcorn, chicharrones, ice cream, popcicles, etc. Is a nice place to visit is you are in Mérida.
  • Pretty nice little zoo. Well looked after and has a fun train that circuits the park.
