#2 of 846 in Museums in Mexico
Admire works from Mexican and international artists at Palacio de Bellas Artes. Construction on the domed palace begun in 1905, using art nouveau and neoclassical architectural styles, but was it delayed by sinking foundations and a political uprising. When the building was finally completed in the 1930s, a touch of art nouveau influence added to the melange of styles. Immerse yourself in Mexican fine culture at the impressive palace, which today houses several museums and galleries, as well as a theater. • It is a very old place, full of luxuries, paintings and a unique atmosphere, when one is there it is like visiting a museum, the people are friendly, you can visit several floors, contemplate murals, in addition to having a good coffee surrounded by art, the reason for my visit was a concert-h amazing, the facilities are sustay old, very well maintained with the peculiarity of an extreme luxury, marble everywhere of various colors, perfectly clean and luxurious bathrooms, if it is of interest to visit historical sites on the CD of Mexico this is one of them, bonne voyage

  • The fact of walking its facilities is simply magical, so many years of history are incredible the stories that emanate from there, regardless of some exhibition, there is always some interest in this great work of engineering.

  • An incredible display of music and dance. Though the whole production was incredible, I was impressed the most with the 15 minute continuous drum session. Amazing! It just kept going and going with not one of the drummers (25 I think) even showing a momentous hesitation.
  • You can not miss the visit of this beautiful building, one of the best in the city. Besides being in the centre, it is next to the Alameda with its park and beautiful statues. Beautiful also inside with its marbles and its theatre. It also has a good programming of music, dance and theatre. You have to know it!
