Escape to Cenote Maya Park, a secret Mayan underworld of tranquillity, where you can dip into crisp water that was once used by the Mayans for both rituals and relaxation. Descend down vines that begin at the opening and lead 26 m (85 ft) below ground into the cenote, where you can swim in the company of black catfish. The body of water itself is about 40 m (130 ft) deep and 60 m (200 ft) in diameter. It can also be reached by taking a manmade staircase, which leads to a platform sitting in the middle of the water. • Awesome experience. Clean water. Safety is very important for the staff.
  • Really awesome place. Very beautiful and natural. The water is super cold, it was a shock to me when I repelled in. I really enjoyed the cenote and all activities here.
