  • Near Lake Kandy, this temple forms the center of the Sri Lankan Buddhist faith in the ancient city of Kandy. Buddha's teeth are enshrined. There were a lot of flowers sold around the temple, so I bought them. Take off your shoes at the entrance and leave them in the shoe storage area. I paid about 25 rupees when I received it. Three times a day, there is a worship service called Pooja, which opens the door of the room where the French teeth are stored. I had just entered the front of Puja, and i was filled with people offering offerings and offering prayers.

  • in this is the one that is very unique and beautiful in every way. We are here talking about the Temple of Tooth Relic. This temple is very popular and most of the tourists coming to Sri Lanka come here definitely because of its uniqueness. Like many other popular places of Sri Lanka, this too comes in the world heritage sites and is marked so by UNESCO. The temple is spiritual and historical both. So, people come here are interested in both subjects. It is said that the tooth relic that the temple has is of Buddha. Also, there is this saying that one who will hold that tooth relic will be the governor of the kingdom. This temple is located in the city of Kandy.
  • It took over 3 hours by train from Colombo to get to Kandy to visit this place but it is well worth the journey. It is a truly wonderful experience. With hindsight I wish we had hired a guide as I'm sure we didn't fully understand everything. It was very busy with tourists, lots of children on school trips, families and other interesting people visiting this holy place. If you get the chance to visit you will not be disappointed by everything you see.
