The historic rock of the same name dominates the landscape of World Heritage-listed Sigiriya, where the steep and striking lava plug contains the ruins of an ancient empire.Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Sigiriya: Dambulla Cave Temple (in Habarana) and Dambulla (Balloon Rides & Golden Temple of Dambulla). Spend the 4th (Sun) exploring nature at Minneriya National Park. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Sigiriya is an approximately 11-hour combination of flight and taxi. The time zone changes from Arabian Standard Time (AST) to India Standard Time (IST), which is usually a 2.5 hour difference. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 5th (Mon) so you can go by car to Kandy.
