The green and pleasant mountain town of Ehden has become a popular summer vacation resort for city-dwellers from Zgharta, Beirut, and other major urban areas throughout the country.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Thu): pause for some serene contemplation at Saydet el Hosn Lady of the Fortress, admire the verdant scenery at Qadisha (Kadisha) Valley, see the interesting displays at Gibran Museum, then steep yourself in history at The Cedars of God, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Deir Qozhaya. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to Phoenician Wall, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saydet el Nouriyi Monastery, then don't miss a visit to Mussaylha Fort, then step into the grandiose world of Citadel Saint Gilles (Qal'at Sinjil), and finally take a leisurely stroll along El Mina Port.
