Fort Shri Sudarmalaya Buddhist Temple, Galle

This was the first time I visited the Galle fort after the pandemic started. Galle fort was somewhat different from what it was used to be. They have done some good renovations to make the pace more attractive to visitors. Paths, grass fields had been renovated. And they have placed some old times cannons on the fort(which weren't there some time ago) And they have added some descriptive boards to guide the visitors. It was a wonderful visit. During the day time it was not much crowded. If you haven't visited Galle fort, try it. Sea breeze and glorious sunset makes the whole travel worth it.

Absolutely worth visiting the Fort. Arrive 3/4 hours before the sunset to enjoy the inner town as it is not well lit in the dark hours and you will loose of seeing the beautiful colonial architecture. Walk after that the wall and enjoy the sunset. Keep in mind there is a small beach which is nice for swimming. Only few places for street food available. Few nice restaurants situated inside the town. We sat at a place where they had no licence for alcohol so they served us beer in tea mug. If you experience this ask for the price of the drinks if they are not listed in the menu.
