  • Quite afternoon walk. We went on an afternoon when we had nothing planned there was a nice view of Kandy and it was a peaceful walk. There’s not that much to see but is nice if you have some free...

  • Amazing natural royal Forest in the middle of kandy. Flora everywhere but, many invasive devil’s ivy vines destroy the valuable canopy trees. Have some more water with you as the treck is quite...

  • As of March 2022 the foreigner ticket is 864 LKR. By itself nothing special but such a welcome relief from the noise and smog of the city! After entering it is a different world: Cool shade instead of heat, Forrest sounds and green all around. If you are looking for respite, head there for an hour or two.
  • We loved the walk here. Very beautiful and well kept forrest and trails. There are places to sit around the sanctuary. We saw a deer and many monkeys. There is also a very nice view point to look down at Kandy lake and city. There is an entrance fee for foreigners.
