According to the literature and history, this is the first place visited by Gouthama Buddha some 2500 years back. Temple is just minutes away from town. Ample parking, not very clean though. Mix of ancient structures and new buildings gives a nice blend.

One of the most important sacre places in the country. If you are a travller, make sure to put this in your bucket list, it gives rather a dufferent vibe than most of the other temples. You can buy flowers and offerings when you enter. People at the shops are very friendly they even kept our luggage safe.
