Sitting on the Mediterranean coast, Beirut, the country's capital and largest city, has plenty of appeal itself, as well as offering a convenient base for exploring the country's other sights and cities.
On the 5th (Wed), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque, take a stroll through Beirut Souks, and then make a trip to Zaitunay Bay. Here are some ideas for day two: shop like a local with Hamra Street, take in the dramatic natural features at Pigeon Rocks in Raouche, then get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Beirut, and finally see the interesting displays at Mim Museum - Mineral Museum.

When traveling from Cairo in June, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Beirut: temperatures range from 35°C by day to 24°C at night. Bride of Summer Resorts in the North of Lebanon

The green and pleasant mountain town of Ehden has become a popular summer vacation resort for city-dwellers from Zgharta, Beirut, and other major urban areas throughout the country.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Fri): examine the collection at Gibran Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Deir Mar Elisha, then appreciate the views at Qadisha Valley, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Horsh Ehden Nature Reserve.
